Assistance with identifying literature for the IPCC 5th Assessment Report
The IPCC is currently in the process of preparing its 5th Assessment Report. The report will undergo multiple international reviews and will be finalised in 2013/2014.
Chapter 25 of the report by Working Group II of the IPCC will focus on climate change impacts, vulnerability and adaptation options for Australia and New Zealand.
The drafting of this chapter will be lead by eight authors from New Zealand and Australia (from New Zealand: Andy Reisinger (Coordinating Lead Author), Paul Newton and Andrew Tait; from Australia: Roger Kitching (Coordinating Lead Author), Francis Chiew, Lesley Hughes, Penny Whetton, and Sandra Schuster).
On behalf of the lead authors, Andy Reisinger and the New Zealand Climate Change Centre is seeking your assistance with identifying relevant literature that should inform our assessment of climate change impacts, vulnerability and adaptation options for New Zealand.
An Australian-funded literature review to assist this assessment is being carried out for issues pertinent to Australia, but this will not cover many aspects specific to New Zealand. As the IPCC assessment should present a summary of our knowledge based on existing publications, obtaining a comprehensive overview of relevant publications is critical to ensure the chapter will represent a relevant, comprehensive and balanced perspective.
Further information including the sort of material the lead authors are particularly interested in can be found here.
