Climate change research gaps and needs

On 30 August 2011, the NZCCC provided to the Ministry of Science and Innovation (MSI) a 'climate change research gaps and needs' submission.  This submission, which MSI asked the NZCCC to provide, was a contribution to the Global Biophysical (GLO) contestable round for 'climate and atmosphere'.

Information-Sharing Workshop: IPCC AR5 ‘Australasia' Chapter

On Thursday 5 May 2011, approximately 60 participants attended a workshop at the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor in Wellington to hear from lead authors (from Australia and New Zealand) about the scope of the ‘Australasia' chapter for the upcoming Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Fifth Assessment Report (AR5).

Assistance with identifying literature for the IPCC 5th Assessment Report

The IPCC is currently in the process of preparing its 5th Assessment Report. The report will undergo multiple international reviews and will be finalised in 2013/2014.

Chapter 25 of the report by Working Group II of the IPCC will focus on climate change impacts, vulnerability and adaptation options for Australia and New Zealand.

Workshop Summary Report: New Zealand's potential contribution to the IPCC's 5th Assessment Report

A one day workshop was held on Tuesday 8 December 2009 at Rutherford House, Victoria University of Wellington to discuss New Zealand's potential contribution to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's (IPCC's) Fifth Assessment Report (AR5).

This report briefly summarises the workshop's main presentations and subsequent discussions.
