The NZCCC does not however cover all matters relating to climate change in New Zealand.

Climate Change Science

Contact the NZCCC for:

  1. matters relating to the science of climate change
  2. potential impacts and adaptation measures New Zealand might expect under climate change.

Contact the recently established New Zealand Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Research Centre (NZAGRC) for matters relating agricultural greenhouse gas mitigation.

The Kyoto Protocol & "Copenhagen" Developments

Contact either the Ministry for the Environment or the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Trade for information about the Kyoto Protocol.

The Emissions Trading Scheme

Matters regarding the emissions trading scheme (ETS) should be directed to the Ministry for the Environment (MfE), the Central Government agency charged with developing the policy regarding this work.

All of these organisations offer excellent sources of up-to-date information and commentary on climate change policy matters and frequently host seminars and conferences.
