What: Science Breakfast with IPCC Chair

In association with the NZ Ministry of Research, Science & Technology, the NZCCC hosted a Science Breakfast at the Beehive, exploring the role that New Zealand scientists have played with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and how this might continue into the future. The future directions of the IPCC were outlined by Dr Rajendra Pachauri, Chair of the IPCC. Hon Pete Hodgson, NZ Minister of Research, Science & Technology, also addressed the audience, thanking scientists for their work to date but urging them to continue to improve scientific understanding of climate change.
